What is the Camelot DEX (GRAIL)?

Camelot DEX – GRAIL

The most wanted thing since history can remember is the Holy $GRAIL…

Well, I found it, it’s in the Arbitrum ecosystem.

This is a Project Review on GRAIL.

What is the Camelot DEX – GRAIL?

CamelotDEX first launched at the end of 2022 with a mission to become Arbitrum’s number 1 DEX, however, there is more than meets the eye with the Camelot DEX protocol. Let’s take a deep dive.

The CamelotDEX is an ecosystem-focused & community-powered DEX that enables users and builders to take advantage of their bespoke infrastructure for sustainable, flexible liquidity.

What makes their Liquidity different?

Well, Camelot DEX’s foundation lays upon the Automated Market Maker (AMM) model like most Decentralised Exchanges, however, Camelot also uses a Dual-Liquidity model to accompany it.

Different formulas are used for stable or volatile liquidity pairs. For example:

  • Volatile pairs such as $FCTR:$ETH would use Uniswap’s v2 standard formula.
  • Stable Pairs such as $ETH:$wstETH use the Solidly Curve formula.

Let’s take a look at the products & features on the platform:

This is the most popular product on the Camelot DEX that allows users to swap any crypto assets on the Arbitrum network. Transaction fees are also distributed amongst LP providers, $xGRAIL holders, buybacks, burning & contributor funds.

Staked Positions (spNFTs)/Yield Farming

Camelot offers a unique liquidity model called Staked Position NFTs (spNFTs), that allows users to earn high yields. Each liquidity pool has its own spNFTs that any user can mint, just by depositing & wrapping LP tokens.

Every single spNFT has the following:

  • A Deposit LP token + amount
  • A unique ID
  • A custom APY
  • An option to lock, which increases APY
  • + Extra information

All rewards will be given in either $GRAIL or $xGRAIL.

Nitro Pools

The Nitro Pools is a unique way of allowing both the protocol and the community to provide liquidity for the new Camelot partner protocols.

There are two variations of Nitro Pools:

  • Camelot Nitro Pools – Created by the Camelot Team
  • Community Nitro Pools – Created by anyone

Users will earn rewards for providing liquidity, which is standard. However, Camelot also rewards providers with a new reward method in ETH within the Nitro Pool. Once you stake your assets in a Nitro Pool, you will initiate your PLS emissions which will grant you $GRAIL and $xGRAIl tokens!

Camelot can swiftly become the core of liquidity within the Arbitrum ecosystem.

Camelot DEX has a great Launchpad that allows any users on the network to participate, without any requirements/restrictions. They use a fair launch model which places an equal playing field for anyone investing.

So far we have seen four protocols launch on the Camelot DEX launchpad:

  • CamelotDEX – $GRAIL (Native Token)
  • Factor DAO – $FCTR
  • Nitro Cartel – $TROVE
  • Neutra Finance – $NEU

As we all know, Arbitrum seems to be the current hot spot for finding crypto gems. Many of which have easily 10x or over in price. Launchpads are a great place to find protocols with huge potential. The Camelot dex has created a simple launchpad for the Arbitrum community that will allow them easy access to upcoming projects!

The next protocol to launch is yet to be announced, but stay tuned!

The native token for the Camelot DEX is the $GRAIL token which is used to earn yield rewards from staking on the Camelot protocol.

We also have the $xGrail token which is non-transferable and is used for governance and can be earned from staking. $GRAIL and $xGRAIL have a 1:1 conversion rate and will also gain access to exclusive discounts on certain launchpad events!

$xGRAIL must be vested (locked up) for at least 15 days or 6 months. Users who stake the full 6 months, will receive 100% of the $GRAIL and users who stake for 15 days will only receive 50%, whilst the remaining 50% gets permanently burned out of circulation.

Transaction Fees & $GRAIL Distribution

Any transaction fees that take place on the protocol are also distributed like so:

  • LP providers – 60%
  • $xGRAIL holders – 22.5%
  • $GRAIL buyback & burn – 12.5%
  • Contributor funds – 5%

How to buy $GRAIL

The $GRAIL token is available on the Arbitrum network and only three centralised exchanges.

There are two main ways to buy $GRAIL, but the best option is to buy and hold the Camelot token on a DeFi wallet:

Option 1- Centralised Exchange

The $GRAIL token is only obtainable on three Centralised Exchanges (CEXs) at the moment, Kucoin, Huobi & Gate.io.

We recommend getting Ethereum $ETH using one of these centralised exchanges and then sending your $ETH to an Arbitrum DeFi wallet where you can swap $ETH for $GRAIL:

Option 2 – DeFi Wallet & Decentralised Exchange

To get started you will need a DeFi wallet and make sure to secure your seed phrase with a hardware wallet (Trezor):

If you are buying $GRAIL through your DeFi wallet, you must use the Arbitrum network which requires $ETH tokens for gas fees. If you haven’t set up the Ethereum & Arbitrum Metamask networks, follow our Youtube tutorials below. Here are the essential links:

You will be set up and ready to go in under 10 minutes!

At the time of writing, the $GRAIL token is sitting at a price of $1,955.58 with a small market cap of $21.2M. $GRAIL has an extremely scarce Maximum supply of 100,000 tokens with only 10,842 currently in circulation.

Is $GRAIL a good investment?

The $GRAIL token is extremely scarce as mentioned above and is the native token of the leading Decentralised Exchange and Launchpad on the Arbitrum network.

Protocols on Arbitrum are doing exceedingly well and the majority of users actually are using the Camelot DEX to perform swaps, provide liquidity and participate in launchpad events.

$GRAIL is very expensive to buy a whole token, however, there is a lot of potential due to the current market conditions. Once we enter the next bull market, $GRAIL could reach a stunning ATH!
